Local 1089 Facilities

Owned by the hard working men and women of Local 1089, the site at 1255 Confederation Street in Sarnia, is the home to our Union Hall and Member Services facilities. Operating as our Administrative Centre for members support, benefits and dispatch, the location also features community rooms alongside indoor & outdoor Member recreational facilities. Situated next to the Union Hall is the newly completed , State of the Art LiUNA Training Centre/Campus. Boasting advanced technological classrooms, it also features indoor, year round training bays capable of replicating real life, on the job environments that ensure members qualifications are top notch. An extensive array of work materials, equipment and safety materials, make LiUNA 1089 Training a recognized Training Delivery Agent (TDA) with the Industrial Educational Co-operative (IEC) for safety training and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) for Cement Finisher and Construction Craft Worker (CCW) Apprenticeship Training.
