A Message regarding Covid-19

LiUNA is committed to providing our members and their families with world-class support. Given the ever-changing situation surrounding COVID-19, we wanted to update you on an increasingly fluid situation.

As one of the largest unions in Canada, many of our hard-working members are essential to keeping our infrastructure safe, reliable and intact. Rest assured, we are in constant contact with our employer partners, government representatives and public health officials to ensure that the safety of our members is of upmost priority. We will continue to monitor the situationdaily and take our direction for well-being from our regional Health Canada representatives.
LiUNA is taking the management of this virus as our priority. We encourage all members to adopt the Health Canada recommendations of social distancing, frequent hand-washing of a minimum of 20-seconds, the use of hand sanitizers after being in public spaces, and of course, if you think you may be experiencing symptoms that are related to Covid-19, that you practice self-isolation and contact your family physician or regional health centre immediately.
LiUNA is committed to making sure that we all get safely through this unique time in our history. Our members form the backbone of this country and because of that, the future is bright, but at this time, our focus is on staying safe and diligent while we support our friends, neighbours and loved-ones.
